Guarana

Guarana (Paulinnia cupana) is a common ingredient in energy caps and drinks. Guarana powder contains about 4.2% caffeine and several other components like guaranine, theobromine and theofilline. *

Usage

You can mix the guarana powder with any beverage you like. Guarana powder will not easily dissolve in water.

The stimulating effects of guarana are best preserved in the whole nuts. Two nuts are recommended per cup. These should be powdered with a mortar and pestle or a coffee grinder. Prepare like coffee, using the material several times to extract all the active components.
